My name is Ari and I write this here blog. I started this in early December 2008 after I found myself employed by the gracious citizens who fund the unemployment system of the state of Washington. I would have liked to do it sooner, but the time seemed right.
I’ve been taking pictures as long as I can remember. I’ve been serious about photography since I got my first Canon A-1. Most of my subjects these days are in and around Seattle, but I love travel photography whenever I’m lucky enough to you know… do that. On this here blog I post my pictures. I talk about where and when I took the picture, how I edited the picture, and I leave the details of the shot around in case you’re curious. Sometimes I talk about technique (photographic and photoshop-ic). Sometimes I talk about things that aren’t specifically photography. Most of the pictures I post are recent, although I dig in the archives from time to time – the date stamp should let you know if I don’t specifically call it out.
I shoot Canon and and most shots here are just a lens and a camera. Living in a place that is periodically dark and wet, I’m experimenting with more lighting and studio-style shots. If you want to talk shop, email me.
My work is also for sale (either license, digital, or print) over here. All orders are printed custom which can slow things down but it also means I’m happy to custom print to your specifications. If you like what I do or have any questions, please leave a comment.
Thanks for stopping by!
